Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The Lab Manager will be responsible for managing laboratory equipment and supplies, coordinating with staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Additionally, the Lab Manager will be responsible for setting up and improving laboratory systems to increase efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory management and a strong understanding of scientific procedures, to organize laboratory operations and enable project goals to be met in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

· Manage laboratory equipment, supplies, and resources, including procurement, goods receiving, and maintenance.

· Liaise with suppliers to source for and ensure timely delivery of laboratory equipment and supplies.

· Work with facility operations to ensure that the laboratory is maintained to a high standard, including addressing maintenance issues and coordinating any necessary renovations.

Training

· Oversee the implementation of laboratory protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

· Ensure that staff members are trained to use equipment, software, and supplies safely and efficiently.

· Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory operations.

· Prepare and maintain laboratory reports, documentation, and records.

Systems

· Monitor and manage laboratory budgets and expenses.

· Set up and maintain systems for tracking laboratory inventory and expenses.

· Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols, including those related to health and safety.

Others

· Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and other stakeholders to support their research needs.

· Any other duties as needed to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory from time to time.
