About the Role
The Research Scientist will work directly with a team of scientists in the Innovation team to study the biology, design, test and develop new assays for a range of novel disease biomarkers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project goals are met in a timely manner and to communicate the results.
Work with the team to scope the project within requirements and ensure timely execution.
Plan, design, compile, and analyse experimental data and adjust experimental designs for new and established methods.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and data.
Conduct literature reviews.
Help guide new and junior team members within the lab.
Prepare materials for submission to external partners.
Summarize project results and present to research team and external partners.
Requirements
PhD qualification in Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry or related disciplines, or relevant experience developing and running research projects.
Significant experience with molecular biology assays (e.g. Immunoassays, qPCR, Western blot, etc…)
Familiarity with neuroscience, bioconjugation chemistry, and/or bioinformatics would be an advantage.
Attention to detail and is comfortable with critical thinking and decision making.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Able to work independently and also in a collaborative manner with an interdisciplinary team.
